Police have destroyed about £300,000 worth of cannabis plants after raiding a property in Birmingham.

Officers from West Midlands Police executed a drugs warrant at the address on Manor Road North in Edgbaston after a tip-off.

About 300 plants from the property were seized during the Friday morning raid.

Police inquiries around the drug den were continuing, officers said, adding regular action was taken to target factories, suppliers and dealers.
