Police arrive at stabbing scene to find 'man with knife in his back'

A man was stabbed overnight with the knife reportedly still in his back when police arrived at the scene.

Police were called to premises on Hardy Street in Ingham, north Queensland on Wednesday at about 1am, to attend to a “disturbance”.

When they arrived at the scene, police found an 26-year-old man with a stab wound and facial injuries with “the knife still intact”, according to the Courier Mail.

The man is reportedly recovering in hospital, in a serious but stable condition.

Queensland Police told Yahoo7 that the incident was “possibly domestic violence related” and investigations are ongoing.
