PS Plus announces day 1 game early for FebruarySquare Enix

PlayStation Plus has announced one of the February free games for Essential subscribers early, and it's a day-one launch.

On February 6, players will be able to delve into Square Enix's Foamstars, a 4 vs 4 party shooter, which looks a bit like Splatoon but with foam instead of paint. There are differences however, such as hero characters that have unique abilities.

The game modes include Smash the Star, where one player is souped up and needs to be taken down together, Happy Bath Survival, where half of each team needs to defend their comrades, and Rubber Duck Party, which is like King of the Hill but... well, you can probably guess the twist.

Foamstars will be available to claim for a month from Tuesday, February 6. Once added your to account, you will be able to play it for as long as you have an active PS Plus Essential or higher subscription, even if you let it lapse and re-subscribe at a later date.
