Plane makes emergency landing after pilot suffers heart attack and dies

A passenger plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Russia after one of the pilots suffered a heart attack and later died.

The 49-year-old co-pilot was flying Aeroflot Airbus 320 on a flight from Moscow to the Black Sea resort of Anapa when he began to feel unwell and an emergency landing was requested.

The Russian state airline plane touched down at Platov International Airport in Rostov-on-Don where the pilot was treated by paramedics but according to RBC, he died before he could reach hospital.
