Pizza restaurant flooded with reviews in wake of Prince Andrew interview

Just hours after his exclusive interview, people are leaving fake reviews for the pizza restaurant Prince Andrew claims he went to the night he allegedly slept with a 17-year-old girl.

In his interview with BBC’s Newsnight, Prince Andrew denied allegations he had sex with a 17-year-old girl.

Prince Andrew allegedly met Virginia Roberts-Giuffre in 2001, through convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died in custody earlier this year.

When asked if he had slept with Ms Roberts-Giuffre one night after going to a nightclub in London called Tramps, the Duke of York shut down the allegations, saying instead he was with his daughter at a pizza restaurant.

“I was with the children and I'd taken [my daughter] Beatrice to a Pizza Express in Woking for a party at, I suppose, sort of 4pm or 5pm in the afternoon," he told the BBC.

Prince Andrew was then asked how he could remember going to a pizza joint 18 years ago, to which he said going to Pizza Express in Woking was an “unusual thing” for him to do.

Since the interview aired, Pizza Express in Woking has received a series of reviews which are quite obvious digs at the royal who is eighth in line for the throne.

The first of the faux reviews was from ‘Andrew Winsor’, who gave Pizza Express five stars.

“Brought my daughter here once. Everyone should try it. It really is an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended,” the review says.

Many of the reviews poked fun at the fact Prince Andrew was able to remember the occasion almost two decades later.

“If I had daughter ... I would definitely take her there... and would remember the exact day I was there ... 20 years later,” one review said.

One review titled “Excellent and discrete service” gave the restaurant four out of five stars.

“The ‘Alibi Special’ pizza was absolutely marvellous although others have complained it's hard to stomach and has too much cheese,” the review said.

Another person simply joked the restaurant was a good place to bump into royal family members.

“I met a nice bloke called, I think, André Winston, who was definitely there and not somewhere else,” Behzamal wrote.

“Ravaged by his war wounds, he was suffering from acute sebaceous gland blockage and was tragically unable to grow zits,” the review said, making reference to Prince Andrew’s alleged medical condition which prohibits him from sweating.

Prince Andrew said after he suffered an “overdose of adrenaline” from being shot in the 1982 Falklands War he has been unable to sweat, meaning he couldn’t possibly be sweating on Ms Roberts-Giuffre, who alleges he was.

“Had some great dough balls here in March 2001, remember them explicitly as had a non-sweating Royal and his two kids on a table next to me,” another person teased.

“I've been coming here since March 2001. I think the food is wonderful and the young waitresses are just charming,” another review says.

“I'm a big fan of the American Hot ... it has yet to bring me out in a sweat.”

Thee BBC interview was the first time Prince Andrew answered questions about his friendship with Epstein and the accusations of him sleeping with a 17-year-old.
