Pippa to get bulletproof car as parents worry
Pippa Middleton, the younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, would get an armour-plated car as a gift from her parents, The Sun reports.
Her father Michael, 61, and mum Carole, 55, have decided to buy the 27-year-old a $144,301 bombproof BMW or Audi as they fear that obsessed fans or terrorists might try to harm her.
Unlike her sister Kate, Pippa is not guarded by royal protection police, and the decision is said to have taken after the Middletons discussed with Prince William’s bodyguards the threats that Pippa could face.
"Carole and Michael have taken a raft of measures following advice from one of William's most trusted bodyguards," The Sun quoted a source as saying.
It is believed she already carries a panic button linked to the police. Similar buttons are also at the family home in Berkshire.
