Pilot serenades passengers on flight to Bali

A pilot has delighted passengers by serenading them over the PA system on a flight from Perth to Bali.

The unique inflight entertainment delighted passengers on an AirAsia flight on January 18.

Perth woman Lillian Bardsley was on board with husband Phillip and sons Miller, 3, and Hudson, 7, and posted a video where the pilot sings Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’ while strumming a guitar.

“He just started singing with his guitar over the radio on the plane,” Ms Bardsley told Yahoo7.

“He was talking to the staff over the radio aswell and he just kept singing songs.

“He’d sing one or two songs and have a little bit of a break and start saying some words making sure everyone was having a relaxing flight.”

The cheerful pilot also took song requests during his 40 minute performance.

“Everybody was clapping, I think some people were a little bit in disbelief that it was actually the pilot,” Ms Bardsley said.

“It was the beginning of our holiday and it put us in that happy holiday mood and it got us excited to go there.”

Ms Bardsley said the experience was unforgettable.

“It perks you up to make you think this is going to be a fun time,” she said.

“We had that too,” another Facebook user wrote. “Annoying.”

“That’s so cool, so we do get some entertainment,” one Facebook user commented.
