A devastating earthquake in southern Morocco, which has killed thousands of people, has also destroyed large areas of the historic centre of Marrakesh. Many residents and tourists were forced to spend the night outside, over fears of an aftershock worsening the situation in the city.

Manly residents took to social media to post striking photos of the dazzling display, with posts showing dozens of locals dotting the beach to admire the spectacle.
Several Taiwanese tech companies are said to be heling Huawei build infrastructure for an under-the-radar network of chip plants across Southern China. Peter Elstrom reports on Bloomberg Television.
