10:12 p.m. ET: Brendon Todd rolls in a 10-footer for par on his final hole and finishes the first round tied for the lead with Jason Day at 5-under. Nine players are a shot back going into Round 2 on Friday.
9:56 p.m. ET: Paul Casey spoils an otherwise excellent round with a double bogey on No. 18 and finishes at 2-under.
9:30 p.m. ET: Another birdie at No. 7 (his 16th hole) for Brendon Todd, who moves into a share of the lead with Jason Day at 5-under.
9:11 p.m. ET: Double bogey at No. 15 drops Phil Mickelson to 2-over.
8:58 p.m. ET: Brendon Todd drains a long birdie at No. 5 (his 14th hole) and moves within a shot of the lead at 4-under.
8:55 p.m. ET: Paul Casey’s first bogey of the day comes at No. 14 and he drops to 3-under.

6:30 p.m. ET: Bryson DeChambeau, the tour’s longest hitter, broke his driver. After crushing a drive, the head popped off as he leaned on it to pick up his tee on No. 6. Since it wasn’t club abuse, he was allowed to replace it.

PGA officials tighten dining restrictions
Despite a perfect testing record at this week’s PGA Championship with no players or caddies testing positive for COVID-19, officials informed players late Wednesday that dining restrictions would be tightened at TPC Harding Park. (Story from the Golf Channel).
