A man who allegedly poured petrol over his partner and threatened to set her alight during a vicious domestic violence attack has been arrested.
It's alleged the 31-year-old assaulted his 33-year-old victim a number of times before throwing petrol on her at a house in Kempsey on Tuesday night.
The woman was assaulted several more times before police arrived.
She was taken to Kempsey Hospital for further treatment while the man was charged with three offences including assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was refused bail and appeared before Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday.
