Petrol station worker's extreme act to stop driver from smoking
A disobedient motorist has been sprayed with a fire extinguisher after he refused to stop smoking at a petrol station.
CCTV footage captured in Hangzhou in eastern China’s Zhejiang Province, shows a petrol station employee suddenly spraying a fire extinguisher at the driver of a black car last month.
The driver then gets out of his car and walks towards the employee before throwing a punch.
The worker retaliates by spraying the driver again with the extinguisher.
Bystanders then rush in to diffuse the escalating conflict.
According to local media, the driver, identified only as Li, began smoking when he started his car to leave the petrol station.
The member of staff reportedly asked Li to stop smoking but he refused, prompting the staff member to spray the fire extinguisher on Li to force him to stop.
Li was detained for three days by police on suspicion of smoking in a hazardous place. It is unclear if he has since faced any charges.
