Peter Andre thanks man who returned his stolen possessions

Peter Andre has thanked the man who returned his possessions after his car was broken into while he was performing in the West End.

Andre revealed on his Instagram that his car had been broken into and vandalised while he performed in a production of Grease at the Dominion Theatre. Photos showed that the back window of his car had been smashed.

The singer and actor later updated fans on social media by saying a man called George had found some of his belongings in the street and got in touch to return them.

Andre said: “My faith has been restored in human nature. George found some of my things scattered over the floor. He got in touch with the contact numbers. I’m so grateful, I’m so grateful. It just goes to show when some people do things that are not very nice, you get some people in this world who are more than kind.”

He added: “Please believe that people like George do exist in this world, thank you, thank you."

Andre also introduced George to his Instagram followers, showing a middle aged man with a walking stick

Andre also said he planned to meet up with again with George to give him a big thank you: “For all the bad in this world there is a lot of good. We have arranged to meet him next week and thank him properly.”

The Mysterious Girl singer had previously apologised to fans for not being able to spent time with them after being informed of the damage done to his car: "I feel really bad because people were coming up and I couldn't talk to them because of what's happened I had to go."

His role as Vince Fontaine in Grease is Andre's West End debut.

The show is choreographed by former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips.
