Perth teacher accused of indecently recording schoolgirls

The teacher will face court after being charged for indecently recording his underage students.

A Perth Catholic school teacher has been accused of indecently recording four female students in his classroom.

After Western Australian police investigated the allegations, the 41-year-old has been charged with four counts of indecent recordings of a child under 16, with the schoolgirls under his authority at the time.

"Detectives from the Child Abuse Squad have charged a man as a result of their investigation into his alleged activities," WA police said.

The man was teaching at a Catholic College in Perth's northeast when the alleged offences occurred. It is currently unknown when the offences took place.

He is due to appear at Midland Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
