Is this the luckiest lotto shop in Australia? Two winning $1m tickets sold in same spot

Two winning million-dollar lotto tickets have been sold at the same shop, but the lucky winners have yet to come forward and claim their prize.

Both of Wednesday’s division-one Lotto winners purchased their tickets from Galleria Lottery Centre in Morley, northeast of Perth.

The Lotto is drawn from national entries twice a week on Monday and Wednesday.

Outlet owner Julie Chew said the business had just last week installed a new terminal, which she now described as a “lucky machine”.

“It’s incredible. It’s so, so lucky and to think it’s lucky to get just one winner, but two,” she said in a statement released by Lotterywest.

“My husband, Raymond, now works at the store, so he must also be lucky. Everybody loves Raymond.”

Lotterywest spokesperson Hermione Coleman said it was “unusual and wonderful for a store to win twice like this”.

The double-win comes as Thursday night’s $40 million Powerball draw is about to get underway.

Those hoping to enter were urged to purchase a ticket before 6pm from an in-store retailer, online or through the app.

Powerball “hot numbers”, according to OzLotteries, were 2, 7, 11, 17, 22, 23 and 25, while the “cold numbers” were 12, 26, 15, 10, 1, 31 and 18.

The numbers that have resulted in the biggest rewards were 13, 27, 33, 11, 12, 26 and 4, and the least profitable numbers were 19, 9, 25, 29, 14, 21 and 17.
