People Mock RFK Jr.'s Claim That Democrats Spent Millions To Make Him Look 'Crazy'

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made a bold claim about the Democratic Party on Friday that led to him being roundly ridiculed on social media.

During a Donald Trump rally in Walker, Michigan, the former-independent-presidential-candidate-turned-Trump-superfan offered an interesting theory about why he had to suspend his own campaign last month.

And if you guessed that it smacks of a “conspiracy,” then congratulations!

During the speech, Kennedy claimed that the Democratic Party “spent tens of millions of dollars... to make me look like a crazy person.”

Certainly it’s possible that the Democratic Party did spend some money targeting Kennedy in the early days of his campaign. But many people on social media noted that Kennedy didn’t really need any outside help to give the impression that he was, let’s say, a bit of an oddball.

For instance, Democratic strategist Ally Sammarco reminded people of some of the many not-normal things Kennedy has done, including picking up a dead bear and dumping it in Central Park, admitting to having had a parasitic worm in his brain, and, oh yeah, all the massive anti-vaccine disinformation.

Other people chimed in about the Democrats’ supposed nefarious tactics, and it may not surprise you to learn there was snark. Lots and lots of snark.
