Witnesses of a hit and run in Sydney's west in which a woman was killed say the driver was in a yellow Ford Falcon.
The 66-year-old woman died in hospital after she was struck by a car at a Guilford intersection on Sunday just before 9pm.
Police on Monday said a witness of the accident said the driver was in a yellow sedan and was last seen heading west on Hawksview Street, Guildford.
The woman's son was devastated when police answered his mother's phone and informed him what had happen.
"I tried to ring her phone but nobody answered. The third time we rang, the police answered. They came here and they said that unfortunately, my mum had passed away," Mohammad Rahimi told Network Seven on Monday.
