A man and a woman who injured two people in a crash, ran their car into a house and then tried to carjack another motorist are on the run in Brisbane.

Police tried to pull over a damaged black Ford Falcon at Coorparoo just after midday on Thursday but it took off at high speed, ran a stop sign, and hit a car carrying two women at nearby Camp Hill.

The Falcon then ploughed through a fence and hit a house, where the pair leapt from their vehicle and tried to carjack a female driver who was sitting in her car.

A bystander came to the woman's aid, and forced the pair from her car.

The pair then fled and remain on the run.

The two women injured in the Camp Hill crash, aged 52 and 59, were taken to hospital in stable condition.

Police believe the same Falcon was involved in another hit and run at Wynnum West on Tuesday.

In that incident, a black Falcon ran into the back of a car that was stopped at traffic lights. The motorist wasn't hurt.
