Pair mortify onlookers after climbing 14th floor hotel balcony
Onlookers watched on in horror Sunday as two people climbed over a 14th floor balcony to sit with each other on an unprotected ledge.
The nerve-racking scene unfolded this morning at the Wyndham Hotel in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast in Queensland, according to 7News.
Witnesses reportedly contacted police after spotting the individuals, who appeared to both be female, perched on the outside of the tall apartment block.
An image, obtained by 7News, showed the pair sitting close to each other while dressed in dark-coloured jumpers.
Gold Coast Police told Yahoo News Australia officers responded to reports however were unable to locate the daredevils.
It was not known if the individuals were guests of the hotel, or if they were there due to coronavirus quarantine.

Queensland currently has 28 active coronavirus cases after discovering another four infections linked to a correctional services training academy overnight in the state's southeast.
All of the cases are connected to the cluster at Queensland's Corrective Services Academy in Wacol.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said three of the new cases are from the same Forest Lake household as two people who tested positive on Friday.
