A man and woman in an allegedly stolen car driven through Adelaide's city centre have been arrested after a two-hour pursuit.
Police said the alleged stolen white Subaru Outback was spotted about 1.50pm on Tuesday.
Patrols attempted to pull the car over after confirming the number plates were allegedly stolen, but the vehicle drove off from them at speed.
Having lost sight of the car for about 20 minutes, police deployed a helicopter that spotted it driving through Adelaide's city centre and followed the vehicle for an hour and a half.
A 30-year-old female passenger was arrested after getting out of the car near the intersection of Edward Street and South Road.
The 23-year-old male driver continued his journey onto James Congdon Drive before crashing into a police vehicle.
The male driver of the car was arrested after allegedly running away and is expected to be charged while police investigate the incident.
The white Subaru was towed from the scene, police said.
