Oz Lotto jackpots to massive $50 million

Oz Lotto will jackpot to $50 million on Tuesday after division-one remained unclaimed for the past five draws.

The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said she expected one in six Aussies to buy an entry.

“One player could set the record tomorrow night as the biggest Oz Lotto winner of 2020,” she said.

The biggest individual Oz Lotto prize that has been won so far in 2020 was in May when a Parramatta man in Sydney’s west pocketed $16,917,396.

The draw closes at 7.30pm AEST on Tuesday.

How do I win Oz Lotto?

To win the division-one prize and be in with a chance of winning the entire $50 million, you need to match all of the seven numbers drawn.

You don’t need a supplementary number to win division one.

That being said, there are still large prizes for winning division two.

Division two requires matching six of the seven numbers and one of the two supplementaries.

Last week’s six Oz Lotto division-two winners each took home $51,565.80.

What are the most drawn numbers?

The most drawn Oz Lotto numbers since October 2005 include 28, 33 and 40, which have each been drawn 170 times.

Seven and 27 have each been drawn 169 times while 25 has been drawn 166 times.

Ten is the least drawn number at just 123 times.

Unfortunately, you cannot use any type of system to predict the winning lottery numbers.

University of Sydney statistician Dr Michael Stewart told Yahoo News Australia last year, the frequency a number was picked during a random draw had no impact on it being picked again.

Also, the odds of winning division one are one in more than 45 million.

Where can I watch the draw?

The Oz Lotto draw will be aired at 8.30pm AEST on Tuesday on 7TWO.
