After Firefighters Were Seen Rescuing Keepsakes From The California Fires, People Are Rightfully Showering Them With Praise
As fires continue to rage around Los Angeles, countless videos of the destruction levied across the region are going viral. According to the Los Angeles Times, over 2,000 structures have been damaged or destroyed, making the fires one of the most destructive in the LA area's history.
But countless videos are also going viral of first responders, residents, and others rising to the occasion and helping the communities in need.
In at least one case, this includes first responders saving a person's keepsakes from a burning home.
NBCLA shared a video on TikTok of two firefighters carrying out photo albums and even a grandfather clock from a house caught in the Palisades fire.

The TikTok clip has been viewed more than 8 million times.
The Palisades fire is one of several that have burned through major parts of Los Angeles County in the past few days.
In the video, a firefighter is asked if he is rescuing keepsakes, and he responds, "Yeah, just trying to save some photos." The footage also shows firefighters removing a grandfather clock and other home items, including what looked to be numerous photo albums.

The firefighters were praised for their kindness in the comments of the video:
"How unbelievably kind and humane," one person wrote.
Another said, "They didn’t have to do that but they did 🥺❤️."
A third said, "Praying all those firefighters get home to their families as well. Heroes 🙏❤️."
