Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School was recognised for its achievements at last Friday’s Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry forum.
Speaking at the forum, chamber president David Nicholson said the organisation rarely gave out commendation awards, particularly to educational institutions.
He said the school grounds, its mobile phone and school uniform policies were just some of the strategies setting the school apart.
High school deputy principal Vicki Bogensperger accepted the award on behalf of the school and its principal Terry Martino.
Reading a statement prepared by Mr Martino, Mrs Bogensperger said the award was a terrific honour for the school.
“We are on an improvement journey at Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School and in a sense, the work will never be complete,” she said.
