Over a million people are set to attend Notting Hill Carnival this bank holiday weekend, as the event marks two anniversaries.
The introduction of sound systems and Mas bands 50 years ago that transformed it into the huge event it is today, and the 75th anniversary of the docking of the Empire Windrush which heralded the arrival of mass immigration from the Caribbean to the UK.
It’s set to be a carnival to remember, but there are concerns over how the train strikes could impact the festivities.
