One shop sells second winning Lotto ticket in two weeks

A store in Western Australia has sold its second Division One winning Lotto ticket in two weeks after three Saturday Lotto winners emerged from the state.

Over the weekend, 14 people across Australia won a division one prize of $428,018 in draw number 4127.

According to Lotterywest, Phoenix Lotteries in Spearwood was still reeling from selling a division one ticket two weeks ago.

“We’re absolutely ecstatic for the winner, fingers crossed it's a local," said Phoenix Lotteries owner Wayne McKenzie.

"We're hoping to make it winner number three in this weekend's $20 million Superdraw."

In a remarkable winning streak, Saturday’s Lotto win marks the 21st division one win for the Spearwood store.

The other winning Saturday Lotto division one tickets in Western Australia were sold at The Lucky Charm News Mirrabooka and online through Lotterywest.

Each division one winner across Australia took home $428,018. One winner admitted she still had to get on with her chores.

The winning numbers drawn on Saturday were 3, 10, 12, 6, 8 and 24, and the supplementary numbers were 36 and 45.

Volunteer’s sweet gesture after big Lotto win

One of the division one winners in Saturday Lotto was a woman from Essendon in Victoria, she explained to The Lott she had some very sweet plans on how she will spend her $428,018 win.

“There is a lot of people I can help with this win!” the woman said.

“I retired a few years ago now, and I volunteer four days a week helping those who are less fortunate.

“I’m going to continue to help them with my volunteer work, but now I can give a bit extra to those who really need my help.

She also plans on helping her children out with their mortgages and making sure her grandchildren’s school fees are paid.

The woman said she plans on making a list of all the people she can help out with her new fortune, to ensure she doesn’t “waste” any of it and helps as many people as possible.

However, she does plan on treating herself a bit.

“There are people who need the money more than me, but my daughter is always telling me I need to look after myself too,” she said.

As it turns out, the woman has always dreamed of travelling on The Ghan.

“It’s always been a bit too expensive for me, but it just looks beautiful,” she said.

“I’ve got some wonderful girlfriends I want to take with me so when we can travel again, I’m going to take them on holiday!”

“I’m just so grateful. Eternally grateful,” she said, while also revealing how she chose the numbers.

“I marked my entry using my grandchildren’s birth dates! I can’t wait to help them with this win!”
