The wife of Olympic swimmer Geoff Huegill has been charged with shoplifting after allegedly stealing a pair of expensive leather pants from a store in northern NSW on Mother’s Day.
Sydney-based socialite Sara Huegill was arrested on Sunday afternoon by mounted police in Byron Bay, a NSW Police spokeswoman said on Tuesday.

The 34-year-old is accused of stealing a pair of $2500 leather Bassike pants from the Island Luxe store, News Corp Australia said.
Huegill was issued a field court attendance notice for shoplifting and is due to appear at Byron Bay Local Court on June 7.
The alleged stolen property has been returned to the store, police said.
