Olivia Newton-John reveals her final wish: 'Would be nice'
Olivia Newton-John knew exactly what she wanted to happen after her death, a new interview reveals.
On Sunday evening, Seven aired Spotlight: Olivia — A Magical Life, and the star admitted she wanted her ashes scattered in California, Byron Bay and ‘other places she loves’.
Both Olivia’s late mother and sister have had their ashes scattered in Byron Bay, a place close to the star's heart. Her Olivia Newton-John Cancer & Wellness Centre can also be found in the town.
“I’d like to be partly scattered there, and partly in other places that I love. I don’t think I’ve really thought about that, that deeply. But I better, I guess we all should,” she admitted.
“I’d like to be with them. That would be nice, that’s a nice image to have,” she said.

Bee Gees legend Barry Gibb, pop star Delta Goodrem and Grease actress Didi Conn all shared memories about the star.
Delta and Olivia bonded over their personal battles with cancer, and the pop star got emotional talking about her ‘mentor’.
“There was a connection between us, as an artist and as somebody who had music as a calling in their life, and that’s where I felt that really deep connection,” Delta said.
Rebel Wilson’s key advice from Olivia Newton-John
This comes after Rebel Wilson revealed the key advice she received from Olivia.
The actress played Olivia’s daughter in the 2011 film A Few Best Men and penned an emotional tribute to the late Aussie legend on social media.
In her lengthy Instagram post, Rebel shared that the Grease star tried to give her health advice years ago, but admitted she wasn’t ready to listen.
“You tried to teach me about health years before I took it seriously. You were so kind to me and it was such a blessing to know you Olivia,” the actress wrote.
The Senior Year star recently shed a massive 35kg in 2020 by prioritising exercise, after declaring it was her 'year of health'.
Rebel is well known for starring in the Pitch Perfect films, and she touched on how Olivia had a huge impact on her career path.
“Seeing you star in the huge Hollywood blockbuster Grease with your natural accent was so instrumental to me as a little girl, helping me to believe that it was possible for an Aussie girl to star in huge international musicals,” she wrote.
