A WA police officer has been charged with dangerous driving while on duty after a crash northeast of Perth in April.
The 60-year-old senior sergeant works in state intelligence and command portfolio.
It will be alleged he was attending a fatal traffic crash in Gidgegannup on April 14 when he collided with a Toyota Corolla being driven by a 30-year-old man.
Both the officer and the other driver suffered minor injuries.
The officer has been stood down and will appear in Midland Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
