NZ supermarket terror victims improving

The worst-injured victims in Auckland's supermarket terrorism attack have all improved in condition.

Seven people were injured by Sri Lankan national Ahamed Aathill Mohamed Samsudeen in a shock supermarket stabbing attack on Friday.

On Wednesday, NZ police announced a promising update on their health.

"There are now three victims in Auckland Hospital in a stable condition ... all three are now on the wards," assistant commissioner Lauano Sue Schwagler said.

"The four remaining victims are continuing to recover at home."
