Teen girl dies after three-car collision in northern NSW

A teenage girl has died after a head-on collision in northern NSW.

The 17-year-old was killed at Nymboida, near Grafton, on Saturday after her Mazda station wagon hit two utes – an Isuzu Vmax and another Mazda, which was towing a boat.

Emergency workers were called to the Armidale Rd crash about 8.30am.

A 63-year-old woman who was driving the Isuzu ute was taken to Grafton Hospital for chest pain.

A first responder to the crash was believed to be a relative of the teen girl, according to 9News.

“Police are appealing to anyone who may have further information in relation to the accident [to come forward], and we also just encourage people to take care at all times when driving,” a police spokeswoman told the network.

A crime scene was established and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated.
