Woman 'spits drink on nurse' wearing scrubs as she walks to work

A woman has been arrested for allegedly spitting on a nurse dressed in scrubs in Adelaide’s CBD.

The nurse, wearing blue scrubs, was walking along Hindley Street, near King William Street, when a woman allegedly spat a drink over her on Tuesday about 7.30am.

Police said the nurse wasn’t injured.

The incident was reported to police, who found the alleged spitter a short time later on North Terrace.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested and charged with assaulting an emergency worker and failing to tell police her details.

She did not apply for bail and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
