Piers Morgan snubs National Television Awards and stays at home
Piers Morgan snubbed the National Television Awards (NTAs) by staying at home and watching them on the TV.
The former Good Morning Britain was nominated for the TV Presenter award for the first time ever, against Ant and Dec, This Morning's Holly Willougby and Alison Hammond and The Chase host Bradley Walsh.
But Morgan, 56, shared a picture of his bare feet propped up on his coffee table as he watched the awards ceremony from the comfort of his sofa.

Prior to the awards he had said: "I deserve to win because everyone’s sick and tired of Ant and Dec automatically winning this award, which bears no relation to reality,” he said.
“They’ve done nothing special in the last year, even they would admit that. I think it’s time the procession came to a shuddering halt and the Morgan bandwagon was rewarded with glory.”
It is not the first time the former tabloid journalist has boycotted the awards.
He gave them a miss last year, despite still being a host at Good Morning Britain which was up for Best Live Magazine Show at the awards show, an award that has been won by This Morning' 10 years in a row.
Morgan said in 2020: “I’m not going this year. I’m sick of Holly and Phil winning every year. And Ant and Dec will win Best Presenter.
“Holly always goes, ‘Oh! Me again?!’ Then she leans in and goes, ‘Take that you little....’
“Don’t be fooled by Holly Willoughby.”
Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly picked up the first award of the evening winning The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
McPartlin accepted the gong on stage saying: "Thank you to everybody who voted to us."
