A man has been charged after Northern Territory Police allegedly found him in possession of more than 1.2kg of cannabis and more than $20,000 in cash.
The 31-year-old was arrested after police stopped his car in Alice Springs and searched it on New Year's Day, allegedly finding two cryovac bags of cannabis weighing nearly 1kg.
"The man then failed to comply with officers' commands and was subdued," Detective Sergeant Leith Phillips said on Monday.
Police searched his home and allegedly found another 264g of cannabis and $20,080 in cash.
The man has been charged with a number of offences including possessing, supplying and trafficking a commercial quantity of cannabis, possessing tainted property, and resisting a police officer.
He has been remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court at a later date.
