NSW's daily Covid cases spike by 35 per cent in 24 hours

Daily Covid-19 cases in NSW are continuing to soar as Omicron variants run rampant across Australia.

- Daily COVID-19 cases in New South Wales have increased by an astonishing 35% in just 24 hours. Another 18,669 new infections were announced on Friday, rising from 13,829 on Thursday. Another 15 people have died with 2,202 people in hospital and 55 of those in intensive care. The daily case total was the highest in well over three months, when 20,396 cases were recorded on April 8.
