Actor Ryan Corr 'grateful' for heroin bust
Wolf Creek 2 star Ryan Corr has pleaded guilty to drug possession and been placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond.
The 25-year-old was allegedly caught smoking heroin in a laneway at Bondi in May.
He was charged with possessing 0.26 grams of an illegal substance.
The Magistrate granted a 'section 10 dismissal', meaning no criminal conviction will be recorded, but the charge still stands.
His lawyer Chris Murphy told Waverly Court that his client was "grateful for his heroin arrest as it stopped him from doing something (stupid)."
Corr's father said he 'has always been proud of his son's achievements and remains so' despite his drug charges.

Speaking outside court, Ryan Corr said he was pleased the charge had been dismissed.
"[I'm] looking forward to getting back to work," he said.
Five days after his arrest he won a best performance award in Madrid for his role in the movie Wolf Creek 2.
Corr was also awarded the Heath Ledger Scholarship in 2011.
Heath Ledger's father spoke to Seven's The Morning Show in the days after Corr's arrest.
"I feel terribly sorry about Ryan and his family," Kim Ledger said.
"Unfortunately with his profile, or fortunately I should say with his profile, he has helped lift the level of awareness,” Kim Ledger said.
"It can affect people so dramatically and of course we’ve been through the same thing ourselves through Heath passing."
