NSW police force to welcome new recruits

Nearly 200 new NSW Police recruits are set to be welcomed into the force during a parade at the Police Academy in Goulburn.

Police Commissioner Mick Fuller, NSW Governor David Hurley, Minister for Police Troy Grant and Member for Goulburn Pru Goward will inspect the 199 new recruits before they are formally sworn in as probationary constables on Friday morning.

Class 332 consists of 150 policemen and 49 policewomen who will complete a year of training and study before being confirmed to the rank of Constable.

The occasion will also be used to farewell retiring Assistant Commissioner Mark Murdoch, who has spent nearly four decades serving the NSW Police Force.
