NSW man charged with child sex offences after allegedly trying to meet with 14yo

A 55-year-old man has been charged with having sexually-explicit online conversations with a 14-year-old boy and trying to organise to meet up in Sydney.

Last month NSW Police began a covert online conversation with the man on suspicions he'd been trying to procure sex with the boy before his arrest at Westmead on Tuesday.

Strike Force Trawler investigators also searched a Beverly Hills home and seized computers and electronic storage devices.

The man is due to appear at the Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday.
