Children injured after two Sydney buses collide

Two buses have collided on Wentworth Road at Strathfield in Sydney during school pick-up time.

The accident happened at about 4pm on Thursday afternoon.

It's understood 38 children were involved in the accident.

One bus had 25 school children on their way home when they were hit by the state transit bus, which lurched across the roundabout.

Five of the children suffered injuries which were believed to be minor.

The force of the collision blew out the windows with two girls on board showered in glass.

They were left with minor cuts to their arms and legs.

Other children were treated by paramedics for shock.
