Woman critical after collision with car driven by 14-year-old boy

A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after a collision with another car driven by a 14-year-old boy in Sydney's west.


The 27-year-old woman was trapped for about an hour in her ute and suffered extensive leg injuries while her 16-year-old male passenger was also taken to Westmead Hospital with leg injuries following the two-car crash at Werrington on Thursday night, police say.

She was trapped in her Holden ute for more than an hour.

The two people are from Penrith.

Four juveniles, aged between 14 and 18, in the second car were taken to Westmead Children's Hospital for a range of non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police confirmed a 14-year-old boy from Bidwell was behind the wheel.
