Driver charged over hit-and-run death in Sydney's west
Police have charged a man over a fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life a 19-year-old woman in Sydney on the weekend.
Natasha Gadd was struck in the Western Sydney suburb of Milperra as she returned home from a night out with friends early Sunday morning.
Paramedics were called to the scene on Henry Lawson Drive but the young woman could not be saved.
The driver of a white ute with a refrigeration unit failed to stop and allegedly lost a side mirror from the car.

Friends and police had spent the past three days urging the "cowardly" driver to come forward.
NSW Police on Monday released CCTV footage of the ute near driving near the crash site about 11 minutes after Ms Gadd was hit.
On Tuesday night detectives found the vehicle at a factory in St Peters on the Princess Highway before arresting a 35-year-old man at his home in Old Guildford in Sydney’s west.
The man will appear in Fairfield Local Court on Wednesday charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and failing to stop an accident.
He will also face charges of negligent driving occasioning death and driving with a suspended licence.
