In another incident, a 30-year-old woman was grabbed from behind by an unknown man just after she got off a bus on the Pacific Highway, in the neighbouring suburb of Killara, about 3.25am on November 22, 2014.

The unknown man pushed the woman to the ground and indecently assaulted her, but ran off after she screamed for help.

Both incidents were reported to local police and the investigations later referred to Strike Force Nerada.

Police have released CCTV footage of a man of Asian appearance with a slim build and short black hair, who they believe could be linked to the assaults.

He is wearing a grey hooded jumper with a dark-coloured T-shirt underneath, stone-coloured cargo shorts, black sneakers with white socks, and carrying a grey supermarket-style plastic bag.
