Boxing champion Lauryn Eagle charged with drug driving

Boxing champion Lauryn Eagle has been charged with driving under the influence of drugs.

The 29-year-old was pulled over by police in Sydney's south in July.

Police said she tested positive to having methamphetamine in her system.

The sporting star claimed prescription medications she was taking at the time were to blame for the positive result.

She'll face court in September.
