Out of control food fight as rival Sydney diners kick off

Flat breads went flying and chairs were used as shields during an out of control food fight at a Lebanese restaurant at Georges Hall on Saturday night.

At least one person was injured and the restaurant was trashed, with the combatants fleeing before police arrived.

Kicking off at dinner, furniture and leftovers were usedas weapons.

"[There were] tables flying, chairs flying, cups breaking, food around and all this stuff... it was pretty bad," witness Jason Raad told 7 News.

Inside Lebanese restaurant Le Rivage, up to 30 men went head to head. Jason Raad filmed briefly before it got worse.

"Kids around screaming, familes, parents screaming for help," he said.

"It was intense, crazy... [I was] scared for myself."

Two restaurant security guards stepped in and broke it up but by the time police got there all the brawlers had fled.

It is unclear how many were injured but at least one man needed stitches after being sliced by a glass jug.

Investigators are now reviewing their vision and want the men in it to come forward.
