ACA reporter Ben McCormack 'in hospital' after child porn charges

The Channel Nine reporter charged over child pornography is in hospital after failing to report to police on Monday, his lawyer has confirmed.

Ben McCormack’s lawyer said his client was having a medical assessment after the 42-year-old failed to appear at a police station on Monday.

The A Current Affair reporter is required to check in with police twice a week after he was charged on Thursday with allegedly sending child pornography.

The 25-year Nine veteran was suspended by the network immediately after he was arrested on Thursday, following investigations by the NSW Sex Crimes Child Exploitation Unit, including a raid of ACA offices.
