'Could be deadly': Footage shows teenager being choked out by pub bouncer

Shocking video has emerged of a teenager being bashed and choked out by a bouncer at a Coffs Harbour pub.

Attending St Patrick’s Day festivities at the local pub on the NSW north coast, Josh Little questioned the bouncer’s decision after he was kicked out.

The 18-year-old was then grabbed by the neck and punched in the face.

He retaliated before two more security staff stepped in, restrained him and set upon the teenager.

Held down, Josh was choked to the point of unconsciousness as his friends screamed at the security guards to stop.

With his cuts and bruises healed, Josh still bears the emotional scars of that night.

“I didn’t think he was actually going to do it, I was trying to say stop, I didn’t think he was actually going to do it, it’s not right,” Josh told 7 News.

Along with his mates and family, Josh is now speaking out, insisting the security guard has a history of violence and should be stood down.

They have also shared the confronting footage online so that no other person has to suffer a similar fate.

“I was just so worried for his health, his welfare, not impressed at all, so we need something to be done about it,” his father, Michael Little said.

“They don’t need to be treated like this, it’s dangerous and could be deadly.”
