Target apologises after mum says she found syringe in daughter's boot
Target has apologised to a NSW mother who says she found a syringe in a boot she bought for her child at one of its stores.
Suzi Meyer posted images of the syringe to Facebook on Monday, saying it was lucky she put her hand in the boot before her daughter went to put it on.
"Omg!! I bought theses the other day from Target in Warrawong I bought a pair for Ember (aged3) and a pair for Raven (aged1) (sic)," Ms Meyer wrote.
"Today o got them out.... cut the tags off them.... put my hand inside to get out any paper that is maby inside.... and I find this!!! 😡 a needle inside!! (sic)."
Ms Meyer has not responded to 7 News Online's request for an interview, however, a spokeswoman from Target said the department store chain was taking the claims "extremely seriously".

"Following a review of our store we can confirm that the syringe is not part of the Target manufacturing process, is from an unknown source and we are confident that this is an isolated incident."
