'Cheers to the mum-ophobic waiter': Phoebe Burgess says she was 'kicked out' of a cafe
A Sydney TV personality and glamorous NRL wag has slammed a Northern Beaches café after she and her three-week-old daughter were sent packing by a “mum-ophobic” waitress.
Phoebe Burgess, 27, took to Instagram on Thursday claiming that a staff member at Nourished Wholefoods café in Avalon shamed her, even though her newborn was asleep in a pram.
“Yesterday was the first time I’ve been asked to move/leave an empty cafe with a 3 week old baby asleep in her pram,” the wife of star NRL player, Sam Burgess wrote.
“Cheers to the mum-ophobic waiter who made me terrified to do it again. Imagine if I’d started feeding as planned...”

The café in question said they were a “family friendly” venue and were “mortified” at the treatment the TV star received.
“Coincidentally, I was at the hospital myself with my wife who had just given birth to our second child,” Cafe owner Patrick told News Corp.
“I am absolutely mortified at the thought of this even happening.
“It is not what we condone and I honestly cannot believe that anyone I have working for me would have done this.”
