Baby found submerged, unconscious in bath in Sydney home
An eight-month old baby has been rushed to hospital in western Sydney after being found unconscious in a bath.
Emergency workers were called to a home in the Sydney suburb of North St Marys just after 10am on Friday.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the child was submerged "for a period of time".
A neighbour said the family were 'nice people' and the incident had shocked the community.

"They are just a normal family," she said. "It is so sad."
Police say the infant was taken to Nepean Hospital and is in a serious but stable condition.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
