Young Aussie filmmaker's stunning aerial drone footage of coast rivals tourism campaign

A young filmmaker has shown off skills and Australia's natural beauty in aerial drone footage captured above the NSW North Coast.

Over the course of a month, Tim Eddy took his drone to the skies to film the blue waters off the coast of Byron Bay and Lennox Head.

The film shows sweeping cliffs and sandy beaches and Cape Byron's iconic lighthouse.

Eddy also filmed a small pod of humpback whales and a much larger pod of dolphins splashing about in the green Tasman Sea.

Now living in Tokyo, Eddy boasts an impressive resume with films showing off the Australian landscape at a quality that rivals the most accomplished professionals.

Or as one YouTube commenter wrote: "amazing, some of this stuff could be from a aussie tourist ad (sic)."
