Details of Vincent Stanford's online fantasy life revealed

Vincent Stanford, the man accused of murdering bride-to-be Stephanie Scott is reported to have had an online fantasy life and enjoyed neo-Nazi propaganda.

Born in Tasmania, the 24 year-old moved to Holland for a decade and moved to Leeton about 14 months ago, Fairfax media reports.

Neighbours in Leeton described him as quiet and polite but details of Stanford’s alternative online persona in the Fairfax report say he enjoyed violent video games and ‘liked’ You Tube videos of Libyan Dictator Colonel Gaddafi as well as neo-Nazi clips.

According to Fairfax’s report, Standford posted “RIP Rudolf Hess. Ich bereue nichts”, which translates as “I regret nothing” on a video about Nazi leader Rudolf Hess.

Stanford posted under the name ‘The mythical Aztec serpent Quetzalcoatl' and spent a large amount of time playing military-themed computer games.

Stephanie Scott was a teacher at Leeton High School where Stanford worked as a cleaner. The 26-year-old was last seen on Easter Sunday, a week before her wedding. Her burnt body was found five days later.

The cause of death is yet to be established.

Prior to working as a cleaner Stanford did some work for his twin brother Marcus for an independent computer game company called Bullet Proof Studio.

Fifteen hot air balloons were released in Stephanie's home town in Leeton over the weekend in honour of her memory and to help local's come to terms with the popular teachers death.

Stephanie's fiancé and partner of five years, Aaron Leeson-Woolle, was also in attendance but was too overcome with emotion to speak. The couple went to the same school and played in the same sports teams and he has previously described her as his life.

Robert Scott, Stephanie’s father has spoken with The Daily Telegraph giving an emotional tribute to his daughter;

“When you die I don’t know what happens really, but you leave this body and our spirit is what goes on”

“She had plenty of spirit so, whatever happens, she should be in the best place possible because she had one of the best spirits you’ve ever come across.”
