Easter Show workers broke legs, ribs on 'super slide' after hours

Police are investigating how employees of the Sydney Royal Easter Show ended up with broken legs, a broken arm and broken ribs after allegedly riding a giant slide in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Five workers were treated at the scene by emergency services called to Sydney Olympic Park at 12:20am after reportedly riding the 'Super Slide' before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

Police said three men and two women were injured, including a 22-year-old woman who broke both legs and a 60-year-old man who sustained broken ribs and internal bleeding.

The site has been secured by police.

Police have been told all five were employed at the Show and the ride was closed at the time.
